Is this photo just some innocent mother-daughter silliness or is it potential body-shamming? That is the question surrounding former “Real Housewife of New York” Bethenny Frankel. The 43-year-old reality star posted a picture to Instagram of herself in her 4-year-old daughter’s hello kitty pajamas on Sunday morning.
“This is my daughter’s nightgown and PJ shorts,” was her caption. “Think we’re ready to start sharing clothes yet?”
The internet didn’t think so. The response from commenters ranged from criticisms of Frankel’s weight, to accusations that she is a poor role model for her young daughter.
One message cautioned that her daughter might grow to feel in competition with her fit mother. “I would just caution doing this as she gets more impressionable. She needs to develop a healthy self-image because she may not have all of your genes,” said one comment.
